KBM’s condensate resin transforms hazardous metal condensate that gets left over in the laser bed after the 3D printing and bed fusion process into a safe material that can be fully recycled to recover the metal powder.

  • Makes metal condensate safe for handling
  • Reversible recycling process
  • Safely reclaims metal from the condensate
  • Recycles 1kg metal condensate per 15-20g resin
  • Zero waste recycling

Condensate Resin Pacification With KBM

Metal condensate from the laser bed 3D printing process is a hazardous material, and difficult to handle and recycle. KBM has created a product and process to pacify this material for safe non-hazardous handling and shipping. The best part is that it is reversible, and the metal powder can be reclaimed and recycled! Zero waste is our collective goal! Don't just dispose of your condensate — recycle it. Contact us to learn more.

Helping Your Business Adopt A Circular Economy

At KBM, we’re dedicated to helping you reduce waste and operate in a way that’s better for the environment, your business, and humanity as a whole. Our metal condensate resin pacification method is a significant step towards achieving this goal. It not only prevents contamination, but also reduces your transportation costs by rendering the previously hazardous materials safe for handling. Your 3D-printing waste can be easily recycled and reused, so why throw it away? Join our condensate recycling program to take this step towards sustainability.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the use of KBM Resin?

Advanced manufacturing techniques such as laser powder bed fusion metal additive manufacturing leave behind a hazardous metal condensate that’s usually dumped in hazardous waste landfills, polluting the soil. KBM resin offers a better alternative that recycles the powder from additive manufacturing into a form from which the original metal can be safely extracted.

How do I use KBM Resin?

Mix 15-20 grams of KBM resin condensate with 1 kg of metal condensate, then add 99% Isopropyl Alcohol to create a thick paste. Stir the paste to mix evenly and ensure all the metal is properly coated. Leave the mixture to evaporate into a solid before shipping.

How does the KBM recycling process work?

After you ship the solidified condensate waste to our recycling facility, we separate the resin from the metal at our facility, completely recovering the metal to be used in powder form or by adding in other products.

Which industries can use KBM Resin?

Any industry deploying the use of additive manufacturing and wanting to recycle their waste powder can use our resin condensate. A few notable industries are aerospace, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, and automotive. But these are only the tip of the iceberg!
