EIGA Atomized IN718
KOS produces powders in the size fractions required for multiple production techniques and applications. It's 45-100um size cut is perfect for direct energy deposition and other applications requiring a slightly larger size than LPBF.
Inconel 718 is a nickel-based superalloy that is chosen by design engineers where its high strength in extreme temperature conditions at both ends of the spectrum is required. It can be used in environments from cryogenic all the way up to 1300°F/704°C. Throughout this entire range it exhibits exceptionally high yield, tensile and creep-rupture properties. It also shows excellent tensile and impact strength.
Given its design charactersitics, Inconel 718 tends to be used in the fields of gas turbine components and cryogenic storage tanks. It is also well suited for jet engines, pump bodies and parts, rocket motors and thrust reversers, nuclear fuel element spacers, hot extrusion tooling. Other popular uses are high strength bolting, and down hole shafting.
KOS produces it's nickel alloys utilizing the EIGA process. EIGA atomizing ensures powder with minimal satellites, highly spherical shape and excellent chemistry. KOS has decided to bring this level of production quality its IN718 powders. It is exclusively for sale through KBM.
